$50 to three great people

I've selected three nice people this week to each receive $50. In the last month, I've probably received more letters from more deserving people than I have in any previous month of this site's existence. And I'm doing everything I can to respond and give away even more free money than I have in the past. I feel it's my responsibility to do so since the interest is so great.

This does mean that it's more likely than ever that I'll respond to your request. But it doesn't mean that I can help everyone. I've received a few disappointed letters in recent days that concern me. I don't want anyone to leave this site feeling as if their request doesn't matter or that they've been ignored. At the same time, I really can only help so many folks. So angry follow up messages will do nothing to help your cause. If you didn't receive a response, it doesn't mean that I didn't read your letter. I selectively respond to as many messages as I can. But there are not enough hours in the day to write everyone a personalized letter. And I really don't want to use one of those heartless computerized auto responders thanking you for your email. That's not how I run this web site. Everything I do is personal, directly from me, and sincere.

So with those thoughts shared, let's move on to the business at hand. Mel, Rich and Shannon, who are from Ontario, Canada, Michigan and New York, each wrote me a touching, nice letter requesting some help for various reasons. I plan to send each $50 to help out with bills, groceries or whatever their request and need.

These are small gifts. But I do know that they'll be warmly received and I also know that I enjoy sharing them.

If you're interested, please send me your emailed request and I'll do my best to consider you for the next update and gift.

thank you for being such a kind gracious person. I am fearful my request was to great. One feels their needs are the most important but we forget there are others that feel the same way. As you stated, you cannot help everyone. I have never been privleged to live in the wealthy arena. I took my lunch to school in newspaper or syrup can. I wore flower sack underwear, and went home to house with no dad. I was always embarrassed to say he was in a mental institution. I could tell a story. I will leave my comment at this. It's a great thing you are doing. People should understand that you're not obligated to give anyone a penny, but you're doing it from the heart. Keep up the great work.

I just sent a letter requesting money (our income has been cut in half since my husband's disability retirement and read some of your past blogs and comments. I am overjoyed that it is Christ who compels you and believe He sent me to you. May our Lord continue to bless you and provide for you as you continue to do HIS work here on Earth. God bless you.

I appreciate what you are doing for those you do for.I have been blessed with common knowledge and the ability to work with my hands. There have been so many times that I have helped others by doing small things like fixing broken light fixtures , patching holes in drywall at friends houses ,using my carpentry skills ( I have actually stopped at a house on my way home from work ,where the owner was building a garage. I pulled out some tools , and helped frame the roof ,only asking for a glass of water in return) volunteering to help lend a helping hand when I can , all just in exchange for the good feeling I get from helping others.

At any given time any of us can find ourselves in the need of some type of help. It's people like you who is a angel from above. Blessing always, to you.

I was truely amaze to find this web page, sitting here at the computer wondering where I could get some directions or help etc. When I came to your web page. Twenty years ago after a divorce I found myself in need of assistance prayed about it the night before asking for an answer the next day as I read the paper looking for a job there was a job. I promised God that I would work every hour that he put before me to keep my family together. Thank you for being one of his angels

Everyone is saying thank you in advance, but where are all the people saying thank you for money that they have received?

If i could do what you do.. I would in a second. I know the feeling these people feel with nothing left at the end of the week but i know I'm blessed to atleast have a job to pay what i can even if i can't do it all when it needs to be done. I envy you and love how you take care of people who need help. God bless you
